Yens Pedersen is a Regina lawyer with over 25 years experience. Before opening Pedersen Law, Yens practiced with the Saskatchewan law firm Balfour Moss (which merged with the national law firm Miller Thomson LLP in 2011).
Yens is an active member of the community and volunteers for several community organizations and charities. He was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Regina Northeast and served from 2018-2020. He is often called to serve in leadership positions and has served as the chair of the school community council for his children’s school, the council at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, the Regina Ski Club, the Regina Business Association, the Regina taxation section of the Canadian Bar Association and the Regina & District Bee Club. He has raised money for many charities (including the Regina Foodbank, Carmichael Outreach, Indigenous Christian Fellowship, MS Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Hospitals of Regina Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association, and Salvation Army) and has served on the boards of Saskatchewan Express and the Royal Lifesaving Society (Saskatchewan Branch). Yens is originally from a farm near Cut Knife, Saskatchewan and has been an active member in the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors and the National Farmers Union.
